Great place for our three night stay in Edinburgh. - very clean, spacious and updated room - our room had separate washroom and shower room, very convenient to use at the same time if needed - excellent hot, freshly prepared breakfast included - very quiet street with virtually no traffic - one minute walk from Haymarket to frequent buses and trams to and from Airport - power outlets with USB charging ports - very friendly host, taking health safety very serious and always ready to help Highly recommended, best price/quality bang for your money
Charming guesthouse, really clean throughout and owner Mrs Chan was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you . Lovely breakfast , great location v near Haymarket which has excellent transport links to city . 10 min walk to Princes Street . Made our stay really enjoyable.
Wonderful visit again! Owner is kind, clean and efficient! Location can’t be beat! Perfect spot to stay in Edinburgh. Breakfast is quiet, lovely and quite tasty. Rooms are the cleanest I’ve had in Europe, hands down. Bathrooms are not matchstick sized like most are and rooms are quite spacious. Most hotels have teeny rooms, but I didn’t feel cramped at all either visit. Will visit again if we get back to Edinburgh!
Such a great place to stay in Edinburgh. The location was perfect and quiet. The owner is kind, welcoming and very clean. Once we walked in the door we felt very at home. Everything was spotless and rooms are spacious. Breakfast was great. They day we were leaving we had an early train to catch and we were surprised to have sandwiches made for us on our door handle ready to take with us. Location from the Royal Mile: It is a 5-10 minute tram ride away. I recommend this charming hidden gem to anyone looking for a place to stay. you won't regret it!
Wonderful small hotel. Super convenient location close to Haymarket station (so, convenient to everything) and many excellent local restaurants. Very caring staff. I'm not sure it actually is but it totally feels like a family enterprise. Our room was nice but a bit snug. Great mattress and shower though! Heartly cooked breakfast included.
A great place to stay in Edinburgh. 2 min to Bus Shops @ Haymarket and just 20min walk into New or Old City or the castle in 30 min walking distance. Nice rooms, very friendly Staff, great English breakfast and a loving Touch to it all.
Absolutely fantastic hotel! Mrs Chan was charming and couldn't do enough for us to make us feel at home. The hotel was incredibly clean- spotless, with comfy beds and the breakfast was delicious! Great location for the tram and just 20mins walk from the city centre. Such a warm cosy and inviting place to come back to after a very rainy day out. We were even able to leave out bags after checkout- to explore the city bag free due to our late flight. Next time I'm in Edinburgh, will be sure to use Grosvenor Gardens again!
The lady was extremely friendly and helpful. I saw some reviews saying she is a bit "invasive" and I understand why they said that. But to me she is just an asian auntie that wants to be able to take care of everything. Our previous hotel booking was cancelled when we got there late evening due to overbooked. She was welcoming us in the middle of the night and this room was offered for ~440 pounds 2 nights. Not cheap but expected. Honestly worth it if it's in your budge. Spacious room and loooots of natural lights. Very quiet neighborhood. Just next to Haymarket Station which was so convenient.
